March 31, 2008—A cargo spaceship approaches the International Space Station, as the gauzy light of Earth's boundary with space forms the backdrop.

The unmanned craft, known as the Jules Verne Automated Transfer Vehicle, is controlled by operators in Toulouse, France. Monday's rendezvous was a test of the craft's maneuverability, bringing the vessel within 36 feet (11 meters) of the station.
