Montevideo, Uruguay, April 13, 2008Arrayed in aromatic, geometric splendor, Uruguayan grill masters fire up their barbecues to cook 26,400 pounds (12,000 kilograms) of beefand to serve up some priceless PR for their country's chief export.

But with 20,000 hungry spectators on hand, the 1,250 cooks likely left behind little but memories and indigestion.
