July 12 to 22, 2008Mars is the land of the midnight sun in this composite, panoramic image captured by NASA's Phoenix Mars Lander.

The series of shots capturing the sun's movement was taken between 10 p.m. and 2 a.m. local solar time during the mission's 46th to 56th Martian days—or July 12 to 22, 2008.

The rover is exploring areas near the Martian North Pole as part of a 90-day mission to collect soil and ice samples.
