Unveiled on July 28, 2008, the first WhiteKnightTwo plane was christened EVE, in honor of Virgin Glactic founder Richard Branson's mother.

As with many Virgin jets, the new craft's nose is adorned with an old-fashioned pin-up girl similar to those found on World War II warplanes—this one appropriately named "Galactic Girl."

WhiteKnightTwo will be capable of completing up to four daily spaceflights or flying nonstop while between the U.S. coasts.
