Cherquenco, Chile, July 2, 2008;—The Llaima volcano spews lava for a second day straight, prompting fears of landslides in nearby villages.

Authorities declared a "red alert" for areas closest to the stream of molten rock, according to the La Segunda newspaper.

Llaima is one of the most active volcanoes in South America. (Watch video of Llaima erupting earlier this year.)
