Berlin, Germany, August 5, 2008—Antares, a six-week-old Siberian tiger cub, takes his first steps at Tierpark Berlin. He's the 121st tiger born at the zoo.

Fewer than 400 adult Siberian tigers remain in the wild; most roam eastern Russia's birch forests. The cats kill with a quick, fatal pounce.

Siberian tigers are the world's largest cats. Antares could reach 10.75 feet (3.3 meters) and weigh 660 pounds (300 kilograms) when grown.
