San Pasqual Valley, California, August 8, 2008—Two rare Przewalski's horses stick close to their mothers at the San Diego Zoo's Wild Animal Park.

The park is home to 17 of the horses, including the new additions. Two more babies are expected soon.

The horse is formally listed as extinct in the wild by IUCN, though captive breeding and reintroduction programs have reestablished wild populations to parts of Asia. The Przewalski's horse is the last surviving subspecies of wild horse.
