Photo: First Invisibility Cloak Tested Successfully, Scientists Say

Computer imaging shows microwaves appearing to pass through a cylinder covered with an electromagnetic cloak (above) and microwaves passing without any obstruction (below). Scientists created the cloak using a matrix of exceptionally tiny metal wires and loops to control the path of electromagnetic radiation when it encounters the device.
