Photo: China Tree Frogs Sing Ultrasonic Duets, Study Finds



Odorrana tormota—one of only two frog species known to have a concave ear—has an elaborate system of ultrasonic mating calls, new research has found.

Though far beyond the range of human hearing, the calls resemble duets between birds or singing humans, according to the authors.
